The mission of the I AM A CHAMPION | HOPE FOR THE JOURNEY campaign is to share the stories of African Americans with HIV who take on the hard tasks of fighting against stigma, advocating for the future and holding space for others who need to be empowered. In keeping with the Griot oral traditions of the West African Mande empire of Mali, the I AM A CHAMPION campaign creates safe spaces for authentic storytelling.*
